British Citizenship by Double Descent-Swaziland (1948-5-1d)
This is considered a "Non-Standard" route to British Nationality, and will require the services of Philip Gamble & Partners. Their Status Trace research service will determine whether you qualify for this British Nationality solution. You can contact their team of Nationality advisors on firstname.lastname@example.org or call UK 44 (0)20 7759 7581.
British Citizenship by Double Descent through birth in Swaziland is a rare situation and relies on the Independence Day nationality laws. It relies on being born in Swaziland between 06.09.1968 (when Swaziland was a Protected State) and 01.01.1983 (when the new UK Nationality Laws became effective).
In addition, the candidate's father must have been born OUTSIDE of Swaziland and any one of the candidate's grandparents must have been born in the United Kingdom (or Ireland before 31.03.1922).
Children of this successful applicant can pass on certain UK Immigration rights (in particular, they could get Settlement but not Nationality).
