The aim of the Hungarian legislation – in line with the EU directive – is to facilitate the entry and residence of highly qualified scientific researchers to the EU.

The frames of the Hungarian legislation is based on the Council Directive 1030/2002/EC, however the Hungarian legislation contains several favourable rules relating to the EC Directive. Firstly the administrative deadline of the application is only 15 days in contrast to the ordinary administrative deadline which is 30 days.
