Citizenship by Declaration is Suitable For:

Foreign national between the age of 18 and 23, who has lived in Denmark for an aggregate period of not less than 10 years, of which an aggregate period of not less than 5 years within the last 6 years

A natural-born Danish national who lived in Denmark until attaining the age of 18, provided that he/she has lived in Denmark during the last two years preceding the declaration

Note: If he/she holds a foreign nationality, such declaration can only be made if he/she proves that this will cause him/her to lose the foreign nationality
