Poland - Work Skills & Ancestry - Work Permit (Belarus, Moldova, the Russian Federation & Ukraine)
Citizens of Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, the Russian Federation and Ukraine can perform short-term work activities in Poland without an obligation to apply for a work permit for a period not exceeding 6 months within 12 subsequent months. An employer is obliged only to register a relevant statement at a poviat labour office (PUP) that is relevant for a seat or address of an employer. Relevant forms are available at poviat labour offices. A statement should be submitted in two copies. An office makes remarks on each copy. An employer should give an original copy to a foreigner. The procedure of registration is done during one visit at the office and is free of any fee. Registered statement is the basis for a foreigner to be granted a residence visa to perform work (issued by a Polish diplomatic entity in his/her country of permanent residence). This regulation is of a pilot nature and is valid until 31 December 2010.
