United Kingdom - Passport & Nationality - Non-Arabian Ancestry in United Arab Emirates
Those persons who are not considered of Arab ancestry cannot obtain citizenship, and hold a passport, of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Because of Britain's influence in the UAE - they were treated as British Protected States up until 01.12.1971 - it is possible that people whose parents and grandparents were born in territories outside of the Arabian peninsula have old Colonial claims to British Nationality.
