Australia - flag Australia - Study - Vocational Training Student Visa

In general, a Student Visa in Australia allows a foreign national the opportunity to immigrate to Australia on a temporary basis in order to undertake a course of study in the country. Studying in Australia is an increasingly popular option for undergraduates across the world; Australia offers a long history of excellence in learning with a host of educational establishments. Immigration to Australia has grown significantly in recent years due in part to a comparatively liberal immigration policy coupled with the high quality of life which can be obtained in the country.

The Vocational Education and Training Student visa is a temporary visa designed for students who have applied to complete a certificate I-IV (except ELICOS), diploma, advanced diploma, vocational graduate certificate or a vocational graduate diploma.

Australia's Vocational Education and Training (VET) system provides training to students that is both practical and career-oriented. Students studying in Australia can develop their own career path through a mix of study and practical work.

While many people qualify for the UK Ancestry Visa based on holding a Commonwealth passport with a UK born grandmother or grandfather, we have found that if you have a grandparent born in the UK, or if your mother is British or your father is British, then there are several scenarios where you can claim British Nationality and the right to hold a British Passport. This stems from Britain’s collection of British Colonies, British Protectorates and British Protected States in the middle of last century and the Nationality rules concerning what are now the countries of the Commonwealth.
