Czech Republic - Passport & Nationality - Czech Citizenship - Paternal Grandparents born in Czech Republic
Czech Republic emigrants and their direct descendants (e.g. children and grandchildren) may apply for Czech Republic citizenship in some circumstances. The key requirement is that both paternal grandparents were born in the Czech Republic, and the relevant parent(s) or grandparent(s) do not need to still be alive.
The Czech Republic is a member of the European Union. As a result, a Czech Republic passport holder can live and work in any of the EU member states (including Ireland).
