The Parent of a Child at School Visitor visa is for those parents who want to accompany their child to the United Kingdom whilst they attend school. This provides them with the opportunity to look after their child while they are studying at a UK school.

PARENT OF A CHILD AT SCHOOL VISITOR VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for a Parent of a child at school visitor visa, applicants must meet the following requirements:

- Must meet the visitor visa requirements,
- The child is attending an independent fee paying day school which is listed on the UK Register of Education and Training Providers,
- The child is under 12 years of age,
- They should have adequate and reliable funds for maintaining a second home in the United Kingdom ,
- They are not seeking to make the United Kingdom their main home; and
- They were not last admitted to the United Kingdom under the Approved Destination Status Agreement with China.

The visa can be granted for up to 12 months. Parents are not permitted to work and must be able to support themselves during their stay in the UK.
