United Kingdom - Passport & Nationality - British Citizenship by Birth (EEA National Parent)
Passport by Birth after 01.01.1983 but before 02.10.2000 in the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland) to an EU National parent who was ordinarily resident in the UK at the time of your birth, entitles the candidate to British nationality.
The European Union countries applicable in this solution are the "Old Countries": Austria Belgium Denmark Finland France Germany Greece Ireland Italy Luxembourg Netherlands (Holland) Portugal Spain Sweden After the 02/10/2000, it is a requirement that the relevant EU parent is either "settled" or subsequently becomes "settled" in the UK.
This is an automatic right that occurs at the time of your birth. In other words, there is no need to apply for British Nationality - it occurs by operation of law. There is no time limit or further age requirement for the applicant - in other words, it does not matter that the applicant is over the age of 18.
