United Kingdom - Passport & Nationality - British Citizenship by Double Descent (Pre 49 Territory)
This rare situation qualifies a person for British Nationality. It occurs where:
- they were born before 1949;
- in a place that was a British Protectorate, British Protected State, Trust or Mandated Territory;
- their parent was born in a Crown Dominion territory; AND
- a relevant grandparent was born in the United Kingdom (this gives the applicant the required Right of Abode).
